- Prolapsed Uterus
- SYMPTOMS may include vaginal pain and discharge, lower abdominal cramps,
- painful intercourse and frequent urgent urination.
- CAUSES are the uterus protruding through the vaginal orifice. This is from
- the stretching and weakness of the ligaments and muscles that hold the
- uterus in place. Weakness and stretching may be caused by excessive coughing
- heavy lifting, congenital weakness, age or numerous pregnancies.
- TREATMENT. A pessary inserted in vagina. Surgery may be required.
